Feeling our emotions is essential for good health.  Other people will often be uncomfortable with our emotions. This is not an indication of what is right or wrong with us. These people may want to offer us advice in such times which is really more for their benefit than ours and can actually be more harmful because they are trying to rush us through the nuances we are meant to feel.  It might be overlaying their own material that they are trying to ignore.  The most helpful person  will sit quietly with you and if they say anything, it will be to acknowledge your feelings and be your witness.  Finding a person or a talking circle where we can process our grief will help us move on and protect our body from illness.
